Wrinkle Relaxing Injections - BOTOX

Treatment with Botulinum Toxin Type A injections to relax facial wrinkles blocks muscular nerve signals, which then weakens the muscle so it can’t contract resulting in diminished unwanted facial wrinkles.
Botulinum toxin can be used to help smooth crow’s feet, forehead furrows, frown lines and skin bands on the neck.
At Wellness Studio our Independent Nurse Prescriber is also able to offer facial rejuvenation and facial sculpting by administering Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nefertiti Face lift, Brow Lift, Mentails Treatment, Platismal Bands, Gummy Smile, Smokers Fine Lines, Marionette Lines, Upper chest Treatment, etc). The effect may last up to 3-4 months or more in some cases and should be repeated to maintain the desired outcome.
There is some mild swelling that will disappear after 30 minutes and rarely bruising to the injection site may occur.
Local topical anaesthetic cream would be offered if desired.

Platelets Rich Plasma Injections

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are widely used in aesthetic medicine to rejuvenate and slow down the aging process which utilise the persons own unique tissue growth factors and healing properties to revitalise mesenchymal-epithelial tissue by improving blood supply and stimulating collagen and elastin formation, the results of which improves and increases over time.
PRP could be used alongside other treatments such as Mesotherapy, Wrinkle Relaxing Injections, PDO Thread Lift and Dermal Fillers to treat hair loss, deep and fine wrinkles, scar revision, stretch marks, lost volume to face and hands, sunken eyes and many more problems.
A small volume of client’s blood (10-20 mls) is drawn and through a process of centrifugation PRP is separated from blood and injected with fine needle into identified areas.
It may take a few weeks (or months in case of hair re-growth) for the results of the PRP therapy to become visible, but with two to three top-up treatments every 4 to 6 months, you can expect the results of PRP therapy to last for up to one and a half years.
Recovery time is minimal. There is a mild discomfort at injection site, minimal swelling and rarely bruising reported and could be alleviated with application of an ice pack and mild painkillers.

Polydioxanone Beauty Threads Lift

Thread lift is non-surgical treatment of inserting with a very fine needle special dissolvable threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO) into the areas of loosening or sagging skin and sometimes the muscle, to tighten and lift the skin.

If you want a tighter, fresher more youthful look, without surgical interventions and long recovery time, you should seriously consider this treatment.

The PDO threads have a powerful dual effect of immediate lifting and stimulation of your body’s own Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid that can last 1-2 years.

The thread itself dissolves into your body in between 180 – 240 days, after new fibrous connective tissue around the thread has been generated, to maintain the lift and tightening the skin.

At Wellness Studio we look to manage treatment discomfort as much as possible and use anaesthetic creams that dramatically reduce the pain of injections. Most patients don’t consider it to be a very painful treatment but it is not painless.

The threads may cause a mild to moderate swelling, redness and bruising with some patients especially if used around sensitive areas as a result of the injections. This is normally mild but we can’t rule out it being severe, lasting from a few days to a week to recover. The discomfort could be managed with application of an ice pack, recovery cream and mild painkillers such as Ibuprofen and Paracetamol.

The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes.
